I was raised in Kipling Saskatchewan where I grew up working on the family grain farm. After graduating from Kipling High School I moved to Saskatoon to attend the University of Saskatchewan. During my first three summers of University I worked at the local fertilizer and chemical dealership. This is where I grew a strong desire to work in the agriculture industry. Working in retail taught me the challenges in the industry as well as introduced me to the variety of scientific advantages. My summer experiences also gave me the opportunity to work with growers and learn that everybody has a different story to be heard.
During my final summer I worked with a seed and chemical company as a summer Sales Assistant. My experience during this summer really educated me on the industry. While in this position I was responsible for organizing, maintaining and data entry of 17 side-by-side trials. Over the course of the summer I built strong relationships with retails and growers.
I finished up classes at the University of Saskatchewan in December 2008 and will receive My Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Marketing in April 2009. I joined Taurus in early January and am excited to be contributing as the 4th member of our sales team. I’m excited to bring my marketing background and apply them to my new territory.
Having the opportunity to work with a variety of people has equipped me with the skills needed to deliver superior customer satisfaction and I feel this will add accordingly to the Taurus model.
