My introduction to agriculture was growing up on a beef/dairy/grain operation along the Manitoba-Saskatchewan border. I developed an understanding of the diversity of agriculture early, which created the desire to work and experience many different areas of the industry. Before attending college I spent time working on a large family farming operation in which I developed the skills to work closely with others in an intensive management system. This experience led to the opportunity to work in a fertilizer/chemical dealer setting which was my first exposure to providing service to the grower. My early agricultural experiences created a great foundation entering into Assiniboine Community College in Brandon, Manitoba were I completed my Agribusiness Diploma as an honors student. Immediately following my post secondary education I entered into the service side of the agricultural industry as a territory sales representative for an aggressive fertilizer manufacturer. My early experiences in agriculture from understanding the grower to working at fertilizer retail helped me achieve a 40 percent territory growth in the first year.
My experiences in the agricultural industry started on the farm and have taken me through fertilizer retail, territory sales representative, territory marketing manager, and U.S. account manager to present, as part owner and General Manager of Taurus Technology Inc. As a result of working in three western provinces and ten Midwestern states in various roles with Tiger Industries, I have been fortunate to create a vast network of contacts. From my experiences I have developed strong management, communication and organizational skills complimented with a passionate work ethic and focus to achieve both personal and company success.
Entering into my new role with Taurus Technology has given me the opportunity to continue to grow and develop in different areas of the agricultural industry as well as utilize my past experiences and market intelligence to strive to long term success.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to review my personal profile. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely yours,
Craig Davidson
